The Health & Safety Executive have outlined the minimum amount of hours required to teach each first aid course. How Long is a Refresher First Aid Course

There are two types of refresher courses for first aid courses. The first type is for the half or one day courses, like Basic Life Support, Action anaphylaxis and Emergency First Aid. For these courses, you'll just need to resit the course again as if you were doing it for the first time.

The other type of refresher is for the three day course, the First Aid at Work course. For this refresher, you just need to do two days, instead of three. All the same amount of information will be covered, however it will be over the two days instead of three, acting like an intense reminder session.

On all the refresher courses, you'll be asked to do CPR, just like first time round.
