What is Nutrition & Hydration Training?
Nutrition & Hydration Training is teaching your staff the importance of ensuring the people you support receive enough fluids and nutrition each day. Dietitans, the SALT (Speech and Lanaguage Therapists) often support people at home, in hospitals and in care homes.
Having your staff trained in nutrition and hydrations helps protect your service users from malnutrition and dehydration; two common causes of neglect and safeguarding concerns.
Our Nutrition & Hydration Training can be tailored to the setting you're in and to specific service users and condition.
Our Nutrition & Hydration Training course is perfect for people who work in home care services, care homes, hospitals and hospices. As with all out training, we tailor it to suit the needs of the people we are training. This means our session can be tailored for specific staffing situations, whether they are experienced or new to Nutrition & Hydration Training.
There are plenty of benefits to undertaking this Nutrition & Hydration Training, from helping staff understand how malnutrition and dehydration increases the risk of falls, pressure sores and constipation; through to prevention and early detection of malnutrition and dehydration.
Knowing you have properly trained staff who have the knowledge, skills, and understanding of Nutrition & Hydration is a huge benefit. It helps reduce safeguarding incidents, improve service user well-being, and enhance your organisation's reputation.
